Japanese with Anime.com is a blog about the language used in manga and anime: the Japanese language.
The written content of the articles is original. If you see the same content elsewhere, it was likely copied from this blog. Exceptionally, this blog sometimes includes translations of words from JMDict in articles without proper attribution.
Most images in this blog are low-quality excerpts from manga and anime series. These are copyrighted by their respective authors. This blog doesn't host or distribute whole chapters or episodes of any series, only short passages that are cited as example in relevant articles. As such, it's my understanding they would be considered fair use. If you are a copyright holder and feel your property has been cited in excessive manner, you may request for it to be deleted or replaced by a lower-quality version (see contact below).
Some images, often diagrams, are original and have a creative commons license such as CC BY-SA 4.0. As per license, these images may be freely used even in commercial projects so long as they're properly attributed to japanesewithanime.com.
Japanese with Anime isn't a child-friendly blog. Some articles may feature content that's not appropriate for young audiences or contain links to such articles.
Old articles are sometimes updated or rewritten completely while keeping the same URL, leaving no hint they were changed at all. This blog isn't very bloggy.
Japanese with Anime uses Google Analytics and Google Adsense. These third-party services track you on the internet by setting a cookie in your browser, which works essentially like automatically creating an anonymous account for you and keeping you logged in so they can tell you apart from other internet users every time you view a webpage.
Analytics is used to count how many visitors accessed a page, to collect information about them such as their screen size, what website they came from, which links or widgets they clicked on, and what errors occurred in the page. Without this information, there would be virtually no feedback.
Adsense is used to monetize the blog by displaying ads on the articles. Although it's possible to donate the blog, the ads shown to every visitor simply make more money than donations from a few generous visitors. Adsense uses cookies to personalize ads shown to you based on other websites you have visited. You may opt out by visiting its Ads Settings.
Comments displayed on this blog are written by visitors and hosted on Google's Blogger (Blogspot) platform. The comments are subject to moderation and aren't displayed until approved, but may be stored in Google's servers before approval or deletion.
For details, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services, and, also, Google's Privacy Policy.
Individual articles may contain embedded content such as Youtube videos and Twitter tweets and metadata that may result in your browser sending third parties your IP address and other browser data in order to download files from their servers. If you do not wish websites to have access to your IP address, it's advised you stop using a web browser. It would be against common sense to explictly request consent for embeds when any reasonable person can infer an user viewing a web page is requesting the main content of that webpage to be displayed regardless of who hosts it.
It's possible to contact the author by sending a private message on Twitter or on Tumblr.
